The OnePlus One is a awesome device but it is still waiting to officially get the Lollipop awesomeness. OnePlus has promised Lollipop update for the device within 90 days of Google releasing the OS but that was not to happen. OnePlus recently promised a release date of 27th March and 30th March for OxygenOS and CM 12S respectively. The latest is that the release has been delayed and OnePlus is providing a daily updates on the current status here.

The Chromecast - Live TV, screen cast and more
The chromecast is a pretty little thing but it took me a while to appreciate what it was capable of. This is just an account of what I use the chromecast for.
- The google cast app has an option of casting your entire screen. It reads as "Cast Screen/Window". Although google says its "Experimental" but I have been using it for a while now and it is pretty stable. Once you cast your screen pretty much everything can be done. Play a movie in any media player or start a slideshow or presentation. Its more or less as capable as using an HDMI cable albeit without wires.
- You can configure the chromecast to display weather information. I have found it pretty accurate and it can identify my location correctly.
- Play videos via Videostream for Google Chromecast™ chrome extension.
- Chromecast is currently not a replacement to your TV service provider but it may very well become that in years to come. You can cast all the five NDTV channels (NDTV 24X7, India, Profit, Prime and GoodTimes) from the official NDTV application available on Android Play Store.
- You can also cast AAJ TAK news channel live from You Tube link here.
- If you are able to cast your screen as described in point one you can also cast the below channels from your PC or laptop.
- Total TV
- NDTV India
- NDTV 24X7
- NDTV Prime
- NDTV GoodTimes
- ZOOM TV
- Times NOW
- ET NOW
- Aaj Tak
- TEZ
- Headlines Today
- ABP News
- CNN IBN
- IBN 7
- India News
- DD National
- DD News
I'll try to keep this post as updated as possible. Please share your views about what you think of this.
